Choose Amsale’s “Little White Dress” for Your Casual Wedding

An Amsale wedding gown is one of the most sought-after wedding dresses in the industry. When you think of Amsale you may envision formal gowns for upscale weddings and venues. However, did you know that Amsale also carries a beautiful and unique line of casual dresses that are fit for small weddings, garden ceremonies, and even beach weddings? The “Little White Dress” line, although created to rival the little black dress for engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, receptions and honeymoons, is perfect for any of these settings, and these dresses are more affordable that the regular Amsale line or the Amsale Blue Label. Below are some design details to expect in the “Little White Dress” (or “Short Dress”) line.

Fabrics: Satins are prominent in Amsale’s short dress line. You will also see tulle accents, organza, chiffon, and silks. If you are lace lover, this is not the line for you. No lace anywhere!

Detailing: If you like bows, you will love these dresses! Oversized bows are everywhere in this collection. They can be found at the waist, on the straps, on the back, and even on the bottom of the dress. Other detailing includes a touch of soft floral, lots of ruffles, and a few have intricate embroidery.

Style: There is an awesome array of styles to choose from in the “Little White Dress” line. Whether you are a contemporary bride, romantic bride, glam bride, vintage bride, bohemian bride, or a combination of the above, there is something for you. Look for halters, strapless, spaghetti straps, wider straps, boat necks, and more. There are structured, architectural styles and more flowing styles. Natural waistlines dominate the line, but there are a few unique bubble designs.

Length: All of the dresses in the “Little White Dress” catalog are short. The hemlines hit various places on the leg. Some hit right at the knee, some a few inches above, and some are what you would consider really short—at least five inches above the knee. This is a bride’s personal preference. Also, if you are proud of your great legs, this is a fantastic way to show them off on your wedding day!

All of these fabulous dresses are in the ready-to-wear collection and easy to find. It is recommended that if you choose an Amsale “Little White Dress” that you buy your wedding shoes first to see how they work with the shortness of the dress. Or, at least take along shoes that mimic the heel height you have decided to wear.
