I love this adaptor & use it rather than the usb cable supplied with the Kindle. I find I often need to charge up when the computer's shut down, so it's easy to just plug into a powerpoint. Mind you I find I don't need to charge up my Kindle very often. I personally think an adaptor should be included when purchasing a Kindle rather than just coming with a usb cable.

Love my new Kindle - bought it to take on a trip - normally my bag is weighed down with paper books - now I have this little tablet to pop in my hand bag - so exciting. Showed my friends - those with Ipad said they preferred Kindle books as well because they are so small and neat ! Thanks

This item reduces the hassle of the only other way to charge your kindle, via your computer. I feel that it is highly impractical for amazon to sell its kindle without this charger. However I do recommend you by this one as you will be able to charge your kindle while you read or when you go to bed at night, without having to boot up your computer. I means you can travel with your kindle and charger and leave your laptop at home. Very expesive which can be a HUGE turn off with postage it cost me nearly $100, but with constant use I can justify the buy. Again this is very expensive for something that ought to be included with a Kindle purchase.

This power adapter is perfect as it gives me an alternative method of charging my kindle. It is especially handy if I am nowhere near a computer. All I have to do is find a power point and- lo and behold- I'm in business again.

Keeps you checking the post! First the charger arrived, (Yeh it's arrived but where's the Kindle?). Next the cover arrived but where's the Kindle? Finally the Kindle arrived on the date finally notified by email. Now I'm happy learning how to use it but having no success yet at loading it with MP3 stuff.
